The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) Final Leg charged through Downtown Nashville on the morning of June 13, 2026, marking a critical moment in the coast-to-coast journey leading to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Sponsored by Jersey Mike’s Subs, this iconic event unites law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes compelling thousands nationwide to rally behind a message of inclusion and empowerment.

With the flame carried by a select group of local officers and athletes, the Torch Run marks the countdown to the Games hosted in Minnesota from June 20 to 26, 2026. Over 3,000 competitors are expected to participate in 16 sports, including 118 athletes from Tennessee—many of whom will head directly from Nashville’s cheers to the Olympic-style competition.

Historic Journey Spanning 13 States and 10,000 Miles

The Flame of Hope began its relay from Chicago, the birthplace of Special Olympics, and is traveling by two parallel routes—East Coast and West/Central regions. The routes will converge in Minnesota for the Opening Ceremony at Huntington Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus. Over the course of the final leg, the torch passes through an impressive 13 states, crossing multiple time zones and covering approximately 10,000 miles.

The LETR Final Leg event in Nashville kicked off at 10:30 a.m., culminating in a ceremony at Bridgestone Arena Plaza by 11:30 a.m..
