Just under an hour later, at approximately 2:47 a.m., a second fire ignited about a half mile away on Alpine Street. While responding to this incident, firefighters discovered a third fire nearby on the same street. Quick action by authorities led to the alerting of sleeping occupants, potentially preventing further injuries or loss of life.
