The highlight is the “Extremely Wonderful New York Holiday Radio Show”, staged by the Rocky Mountain Revels at the Dairy Arts Center on December 21-22, 2025. This year, the performance promises a unique twist, featuring a nostalgic 1950s New York radio broadcast that unravels when headlining performers go missing. Audiences can expect a vibrant mix of music, dance, and storytelling that transforms the stage into a winter wonderland, making it the perfect outing for families, including Grandma.
The Rocky Mountain Revels, a volunteer-driven troupe founded in 2002, has evolved alongside Boulder, fostering a sense of community through the arts. Executive Director Darren Kelly highlights the show as a rare opportunity to see local talents shine. “This is one of the few chances to see your friends and neighbors put on a professional show,” he stated.
In addition to the Revels’ show, Boulder County’s holiday calendar is brimming with events. These include the beloved Centennial State Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”, scheduled for December 19-21, 2025, at the Longmont Performing Arts Center. This cherished performance brings the classic tale to life with stunning visuals and enchanting music.
