URGENT UPDATE: Chester, Pennsylvania has officially unveiled a statue honoring Fredia “The Cheetah” Gibbs, the first African American woman to win a world kickboxing title. The ceremony took place on November 6, 2023, at a park directly across from Chester City Hall, located at East Fourth Street and Avenue of the States.
This momentous occasion celebrates not only Gibbs’ impressive achievements but also her deep-rooted connection to Chester, a city that has long championed her legacy.
