Inaugural Clean N Green Fest Kicks Off in Carson This Saturday

URGENT UPDATE: The inaugural Clean N Green Fest is set to take place this Saturday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the A.K. Warren Water Resource Facility in Carson. This exciting event, hosted by the Clean Waters Education Foundation, aims to educate the community on vital water conservation and treatment efforts in the South Bay.

The A.K. Warren facility, the largest wastewater plant in Los Angeles County, treats over 200 million gallons of water daily. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to tour this impressive facility and witness firsthand the intricate processes involved in water treatment. Additionally, tours of the Pure Water Napolitano Innovation Center and the Bixby Marshland will also be available, showcasing innovative approaches to environmental conservation.

This family-friendly event will feature a variety of engaging activities, including a mobile aquarium, live music, face painting, and numerous activities designed for all ages.

“We are holding this event so that the community can better understand their impact on their environment,” stated Michael Chee, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. “It’s all about being protectors of the environment.”

The Clean N Green Fest is free to attend and welcomes visitors of all ages. For convenience, parking will be provided off-site at the Wilmington Athletic Complex located at 1700 S. Figueroa St.. A shuttle service will be available to transport guests to and from the event, and ADA parking will also be accessible on-site.
