UPDATE: The annual Veterans Day Parade is set to kick off today, November 6, 2025, in Tuskegee, Alabama, celebrating the service and sacrifices of veterans. The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is hosting this significant event on its East Campus, ensuring local heroes receive the recognition they deserve.
This year’s parade is particularly special as it marks the 85th anniversary of the CAVHCS facility on Perry Hill Road and the 102nd anniversary of its Tuskegee campus. “This is one of the few parades that’s actually on a VA campus, making it a rare occasion that we are proud to uphold,” said Amir Farooqi, CAVHCS Director, in an exclusive statement to Action 8 News.
The event is part of Veterans Month, a time dedicated to honoring those who have served. The parade will not only celebrate local veterans but also foster community spirit and remembrance.
Following today’s festivities, CAVHCS will participate in the city of Montgomery’s Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, November 11th, coinciding with the federal Veterans Day holiday. Officials encourage community members to join in honoring the sacrifices made by service members.
This celebration in Tuskegee serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices veterans have made for their country and the importance of recognizing their contributions. It is a moment for the community to come together and show gratitude to those who have served.
As the parade unfolds, expect a heartwarming display of patriotism and unity, with local veterans taking center stage. Stay tuned for updates and highlights from the event as we honor those who have protected our freedoms.
