BREAKING: Two people tragically lost their lives in a multi-vehicle crash in Santa Clara early Sunday morning. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that a 27-year-old woman from San Jose and a 44-year-old man from Menlo Park died following a violent collision on Highway 101 at approximately 1:11 a.m.
According to initial reports, the victims were traveling northbound in a 2023 Hyundai Elantra when they were struck from behind by an unidentified vehicle. This impact caused their vehicle to hit the median barrier and flip over. In a shocking turn, the unknown vehicle fled the scene immediately after the crash.

Moments later, a third vehicle, identified as a Hyundai Accent, collided with the overturned car, resulting in the fatalities.
