Fergus Falls Woman, 55, Killed in Devastating Crash on Highway 210

URGENT UPDATE: A tragic head-on collision in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, has claimed the life of Sandra Marie Olson, 55, from Fergus Falls. The accident occurred on November 1, 2023, at approximately 11:04 a.m., along Minnesota Highway 210.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Olson was driving a 2012 Toyota 4Runner eastbound when she drifted into the westbound lane while navigating a curve. This resulted in a catastrophic head-on collision with a 1990 Peterbilt truck driven by John Floyd Mayfield, 62, of Perham. Tragically, Olson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency responders from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Ringdahl Ambulance, and the Underwood Fire Department quickly arrived to manage the situation, but Olson’s injuries were fatal. Fortunately, Mayfield sustained no injuries in this devastating incident.
