The Young Marines organization is actively recruiting new members aged 8 to 12th grade, emphasizing values such as leadership, citizenship through community service, self-discipline, and maintaining a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. This national youth program aims to cultivate personal development among young individuals, encouraging them to engage positively in their communities.
Membership and Meetings
Local units of the Young Marines are overseen by dedicated adult volunteers who guide the youth in their activities. Meetings are scheduled twice a month, specifically on the first and third Sunday, beginning at 13:00. These gatherings take place at AMVETS Post 18, located on Green Street in Stephens City.
The program offers participants a unique opportunity to develop essential life skills while participating in community service projects. Young Marines not only learn about leadership but also engage in various activities that promote teamwork and discipline.
