Clawson Dominates Eastpointe in Crossover Match
In another exciting matchup, the Clawson Trojans achieved a commanding 51-0 victory over the Eastpointe Shamrocks, demonstrating their strength in the Macomb Area Conference crossover game. The Trojans’ offensive attack was spearheaded by Hunter Garrison, who recorded two rushing touchdowns, and Elliott Groves, who contributed another rushing touchdown along with two passing touchdowns to teammates Jordan Davenport and Graysen Carroll.
On the defensive side, Clawson’s players excelled, with Davenport, Garrison, and Huff each securing interceptions. Davenport, Carroll, and Shane Dunlap recovered fumbles, with Carroll and Dunlap scoring touchdowns following their recoveries. Steve Figueroa led all tacklers with seven tackles, including three for loss, and added two forced fumbles, showcasing a dominant defensive performance.
With this win, Clawson improved to a record of 5-3, while Eastpointe’s season continued to struggle, slipping to a disappointing 1-7.
