The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) has initiated a special fundraiser for Valentine’s Day, allowing supporters to send charming, animal-themed cards to their loved ones while contributing to the nonprofit’s mission. This initiative aims to encourage donations that will support the care of animals in need.
Cory Viars, a representative from WHS, shared details about the campaign during an appearance on Action 2 News This Morning. Viars announced that the organization has set up a matching donation program, pledging to double contributions up to $20,000 through February 14, 2026. “This is the biggest match we’ve had,” Viars stated, emphasizing the opportunity for donors to amplify their impact.
Participants can easily make a donation and send an e-card through the Wisconsin Humane Society’s official website. The cards feature delightful designs that celebrate the love for animals, making them a thoughtful gift for any valentine.
During the broadcast, Viars brought along a dog named Fudge. In an uplifting turn of events, Fudge found a permanent home shortly after the segment aired, highlighting the positive outcomes of WHS’s efforts.
The Valentine’s Day fundraiser not only aims to raise essential funds but also to spread awareness about the animals awaiting adoption. With the matching donation offer, community members are encouraged to support WHS’s mission while sharing the love this season.
