Edith Lieber, a beloved member of the Ocean Beach and Manhattan communities, passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on December 30, 2025. Surrounded by her loving family, her life was celebrated for its profound impact on those around her.
A memorial service will take place on January 11, 2026, at the Greenwich Village Funeral Home, located at 199 Bleeker Street in New York City. The service is set to begin at noon, allowing friends and family to come together to remember and honor her legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Jazz Foundation of America, an organization that supports musicians in need and helps to preserve the rich heritage of jazz music.
