David Anthony Gilles, aged 66, passed away on [date of death], surrounded by his beloved wife and children. Born on April 27, 1959, in Glendale, California, he was the son of William and Carol Gilles. Gilles graduated from Bishop Montgomery High School and pursued further education at community colleges in Torrance, California, and Pasco, Washington.
In 1980, Gilles married Nancy Erd and relocated to Richland, Washington, where they raised four children together. His career began at the Hanford Nuclear Site, where he started as a bus driver. Through dedication and hard work, he advanced to various management roles, ultimately retiring as the Manager of Retrieval Operations at the Tank Farms.
In 2023, David and Nancy made a significant move to Sandpoint, Idaho, to enjoy the home they built. Throughout his life, David was known as a tireless provider and caregiver, committed to his family. His reserved demeanor often concealed a quick wit and a clever sense of humor. Those close to him recognized that if he was teasing you, it was a sign of affection.
David is survived by his wife, Nancy; four children: Darlene (Jose) Bejar, Wendy, David (Juliana), and Heather; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his brother, William (Roni). He was preceded in death by his parents.
