JetBlue Launches First BlueHouse Lounge at JFK on Dec 18

UPDATE: JetBlue is set to transform the travel experience by launching its first-ever BlueHouse airport lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport on December 18, 2025. This exciting development is a significant step in JetBlue’s initiative to elevate its status as a premium airline, distinguishing itself from competitors like Frontier, Spirit, and Southwest.

Marty St. George, President of JetBlue, emphasized the lounge’s importance, stating, “BlueHouse has been years in the making… it reflects the work of more than a hundred contributors who helped bring the space to life.” This state-of-the-art facility, located in Terminal 5, spans 9,000 square feet and boasts a stylish, inviting design that captures the essence of New York City.

Passengers can expect a unique experience featuring curated local art, an Art Deco aesthetic, and amenities such as Wi-Fi, power outlets, and dedicated seating areas for both work and relaxation. The lounge is not just about aesthetics; it also offers a game room with JetBlue-branded cards and classic games like chess and checkers, catering to families and leisure travelers alike.

The culinary offerings are just as impressive. Guests will enjoy selections from renowned local vendors like Joe Coffee and Union Square Events, featuring New York favorites such as bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches in the morning, and pastrami on rye or chicken Caesar wraps later in the day.

Access to BlueHouse will be granted to Mosaic members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and transatlantic Mint customers, with qualifying flyers allowed to bring guests based on their membership level. This exclusive access is designed to enhance the customer-first approach JetBlue is championing as part of its JetForward strategy.

In addition to the lounge, JetBlue is enhancing its overall travel experience with significant renovations to Terminal 5, introducing 40 new retailers and amenities. The airline is also rolling out upgraded first-class cabins on domestic flights, set to begin in 2026.

The next BlueHouse lounge is scheduled to open at Boston Logan International Airport in Terminal C in 2026, marking JetBlue’s commitment to expanding premium offerings.

This development is not just about luxury; it reflects a broader trend in the airline industry where customer experience is prioritized. As travel continues to rebound, JetBlue’s move is likely to resonate with frequent flyers seeking enhanced comfort and service.
