Local Businessman and Former Councilman Chris Nicosia Passes Away

S. Chris Nicosia, a prominent businessman and former city councilman, passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 86 in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. His death marks the end of a life dedicated to family, business, and community service.

Born in an era that shaped his entrepreneurial spirit, Nicosia owned and operated several businesses throughout his career. He made significant contributions to local governance, serving as a member of the St. Paul City Council during the 1980s and also on the St. Paul Port Authority. Nicosia’s commitment to his community was evident in both his business endeavors and public service.

Nicosia is survived by his beloved wife, Roxanne, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. He leaves behind a daughter, Lynne, and numerous grandchildren, including Bob Pasiuk (Laura), Andrea Perzichilli (Marco), Chris Pasiuk (Alison), Sonnie Mason, Nick Montanari (Meredith), Nate Montanari (Corionna), and Thomas Nicosia. Additionally, he is survived by nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Debbie Armstrong, a brother, John, and many other relatives and friends.

Nicosia was known for his love of family gatherings, traveling, golfing, and watching NASCAR. His passion for life and connection to his loved ones brought joy to many. In a heartfelt tribute, the family expressed their gratitude to Lakeview Hospice and Care Apparent for the compassionate care provided during his final days. They also appreciated the visits from friends and family that brought him comfort.

A service honoring Chris Nicosia will take place on December 19, 2025, at 12 PM at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, located at 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, MN. Visitors are welcome to pay their respects one hour prior to the service.

Chris Nicosia’s legacy as a businessman and a public servant will be remembered fondly by those who knew him and benefited from his contributions to the community.
