Beloved Doctor Patricia A. Huber Passes Away at 77

UPDATE: Dr. Patricia “Pat” Anne Huber, a cherished physician and community member, has sadly passed away at the age of 77. She died on December 7, 2025, at St. Luke’s Fountain Hill, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication.

Born on July 15, 1948, in Coopersburg, Pat was the daughter of the late Maurice Duane Huber and Jean Anne Fretz. For over three decades, she shared her life with her devoted husband, Dr. Steve Sisson. A proud graduate of the University of Rochester, Pat earned her M.D. from the University of Texas at Galveston and completed her residency through the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. Her career exemplified intelligence, commitment, and exemplary care.

Pat was not just a skilled doctor but also a woman of many passions. She loved cooking and often gathered friends and family around her table to share good food and laughter. Her love for gardening and floral arranging reflected her appreciation for beauty in nature. A keen reader, Pat was often found lost in the pages of a book, and her love for animals was evident through her cherished cats, Toby and Russo.

Above all, her daughter, Dana Sisson, was the light of her life and her closest companion. Pat’s strong faith guided her as an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she formed lasting friendships and found a deep sense of community.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Dr. R. Steven Sisson; her daughter, Dana; a nephew, Jeff Huber; and her beloved pet cats. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Rick and Ed Huber.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 1-2 p.m. at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, located at 150 Elm St, Emmaus, PA 18049. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by Mother Laura Howell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Animals in Distress at https://animalsindistresspa.org/ or to Trinity Episcopal Church at 44 E Market St, Bethlehem, PA 18018, in Patricia’s honor.
