URGENT UPDATE: Two men were brutally slashed in an early morning attack in Queens, New York, just after 4:08 a.m. on December 7, 2023. Police confirmed that the violent incident occurred at the intersection of Barnett Avenue and 48th Street in Sunnyside, as the victims attempted to reclaim a stolen two-wheeled device.
According to officials from the 108th Precinct, the two assailants approached the victims with a knife, leading to a chaotic and alarming scene. Emergency responders discovered a 27-year-old man with a slash wound to the face and a 25-year-old man suffering from a slash wound to the neck when they arrived shortly after receiving a 911 call.
The older victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. The younger man declined medical assistance at the scene, as police sources reported.
