Those auditioning will receive a preparation bundle via email, which includes character monologues and a choreography video to aid in their preparation. Auditioners are encouraged to wear appropriate dance attire, memorize their dance routines, and be ready to showcase both dance and monologues at the audition.

The roles available include the titular character Annie, Daddy Warbucks, Grace Farrell, Miss Hannigan, and many more ensemble members. Rehearsals are set to take place on weekdays from January 5 to February 25, 2024, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Performances are slated for February 26-28 at 7 p.m. and March 1 at 3 p.m.

Director Kaity Conaway, a Farmington teacher, expressed her excitement:

“I’m super excited to get to direct Annie because it’s one of the first movie musicals I remember watching as a kid,”

she stated. Conaway emphasized her enthusiasm for the musical’s choreography, stating,

“Annie has so many fun opportunities for choreography, both dance and just organized movement, so I’m super excited to see what that looks like.”

This is Conaway’s first time directing outside the Farmington School District, adding to her anticipation to engage with a different theater community.
