Experience a Victorian Christmas Live in Lancaster This Saturday!

UPDATE: The Thayer Memorial Library in Lancaster invites residents to immerse themselves in the festive spirit with “A Victorian Christmas,” a live musical performance happening this Saturday, December 13, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 717 Main St. This unique event will be led by acclaimed musician and historian Diane Taraz, known for her ability to breathe life into historical music.

Participants will be transported back to the mid-1800s, as Taraz performs beloved Christmas carols from the Victorian era. Attendees can expect an enchanting atmosphere, complete with opportunities for sing-alongs, as Taraz dons an elaborate gown crafted from over seven yards of fabric. Her extensive repertoire spans various genres, ensuring a delightful experience for all.

“This event promises a warm, festive atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for audience sing-alongs,” stated Rachel Rosengard, Assistant Director of the Thayer Memorial Library.
