UPDATE: The highly anticipated 33rd annual Christmas With the Chefs event is set to take place on December 13, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa. This festive gathering promises to be a highlight of the holiday season, showcasing culinary excellence and community spirit.

Tickets are now available online for $135 for early bird purchases. Executive Chef Ash Danao, who grew up on a coffee farm in Honaunau, will lead the evening, infusing his dishes with flavors from various cultures, including Filipino, Japanese, and Pacific Islander influences.

His passion for cooking began in childhood, helping his grandmother in the kitchen, and culminated in a successful culinary career that includes his innovative venture, Rolls With It, and experience at prestigious establishments like The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.

Attendees will be treated to unique dishes such as the Russet Potato Croissant with Savory Herbed Cream, Prosciutto, and Truffle Caviar, as well as Uala, White Chocolate, and Ginger Snap Crumb Truffles. Chef Ash will also share his popular recipe for Aina Cakes and Hollandaise Sauce, perfect for creating a festive Eggs Benedict at home.

In addition to this event, those in Maui from December 12-15 can experience the Coastal Culinary Collaboration at the Montage Kapalua Bay. This exciting initiative features celebrated Chef Neal Maloney, who specializes in hand-farmed Pacific Gold oysters. On December 12, indulge in an exclusive evening at Champagne Hale for $195 per person, featuring a raw oyster bar and gourmet bites.

The culinary festivities continue with a curated four-course wine dinner on December 13, showcasing a collaboration between Chefs Maloney and Purpura, celebrating the fusion of California and Hawaiian seafood cuisines. Guests can also enjoy oyster shucking poolside on December 14, with oysters priced at $28 for half a dozen and $49 for a dozen.
