The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra (GRVCO) is set to perform its annual Winter Concert, titled “Once Upon a December,” on December 13, 2025, at the Trenton R-IX Performing Arts Center in Trenton, Missouri. The concert will begin at 3:30 p.m. and promises to showcase a diverse blend of musical talent from twelve local communities.
Music enthusiasts can look forward to classic holiday favorites, including “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” performed by the orchestra, as well as contemporary pieces like “Festival of Christmas” from the choir. The orchestra is conducted by Raymond Linville, a graduate of Trenton High School, while the choir is under the direction of Linda Arnold.
The event is free to the public, thanks to the generosity of the Donors Club and various anonymous supporters. A unique opportunity to meet the musicians will follow the concert, held in the Trenton High School Commons, allowing attendees to connect personally with the performers.
Communities represented at the concert include St. Joseph, Chillicothe, Gallatin, Cameron, and Pattonsburg, highlighting the regional collaboration that characterizes this annual event.
As a non-profit organization, GRVCO relies heavily on donations to continue its programming. Information about the Donors Club will be available at the event, and special collections will support the Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation.
