Fatal Shooting on E. Magnolia Ave: Knoxville Police Investigate

UPDATE: A fatal shooting has rocked the Knoxville community as police investigate an incident on E. Magnolia Avenue that left an 18-year-old male dead. The shooting occurred just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday in the parking lot of the 2300 block near Olive Street, confirmed the Knoxville Police Department (KPD).

Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire. Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead at the UT Medical Center. As of now, authorities have withheld his identity pending notification of family.

Detectives are investigating the potential link between the shooting and an altercation reported to have taken place inside a nearby building, according to local news outlets.
