Authorities in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, have charged a 71-year-old man for the theft of two clay flower pots from a local business. The incident occurred earlier this fall, leading to a police investigation that concluded with the recovery of the stolen items.
On October 16, 2025, at approximately 09:38, officers from the Caernarvon Township Police were dispatched to the Joanna Store, located at 1102 Elverson Road. The store’s owners reported that two clay flower pots, valued at $175.00, had been taken from the front of the establishment on October 1.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers obtained a description of the suspect, later identified as Joseph Lipnicki. Following the initial report, police contacted Lipnicki by phone, during which he reportedly admitted to taking the pots. This admission prompted officers to respond to his residence, where they found the stolen flower pots hidden in the trunk of his vehicle.
The stolen items were subsequently returned to the store owners, providing some relief in what had been a distressing situation for the local business.
