Urgent Update: A 24-year-old man was shot dead in front of a store in Far Rockaway, Queens, on the night of December 30, 2025. The shooting occurred just after 6:40 p.m. at 289 Beach 14th St., and police are currently on the hunt for the suspect who remains at large.
Detectives from the NYPD responded swiftly to reports of gunfire, arriving at the scene shortly after the 911 call was made. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and arm. He was quickly transported to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity as they await family notification. The motive behind this tragic shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been made as of now. Police have not provided a description of the suspect(s) involved in the incident.
