Local police confirmed that bystanders dialed 911 after witnessing two men brandishing guns during a heated exchange in the food court area of the mall, located near Loop 101 and Chandler Boulevard.
The incident escalated when John Lathrop allegedly approached Jalen Bails-Bacchus and Jeremiah Bagby with the intent to strike them. In response, Bails-Bacchus and Bagby drew their firearms, pointing them at Lathrop as the conflict spilled into the crowded food court. Officers quickly located the trio arguing in a nearby retail store. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the tense encounter. Upon investigation, Bails-Bacchus and Bagby were found in possession of firearms and were subsequently arrested on-site.
