Teacher Arrested After Students Consume THC Edibles in Class

URGENT UPDATE: A high school teacher in Angola, Indiana, was arrested after two students consumed THC edibles left unattended in her classroom. The incident occurred on November 14, when the school’s resource officer was alerted that the students had ingested the edibles during the last class period of the day.

According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, the students were reportedly unaware that the candy they had eaten contained THC. Investigators revealed that the edibles were left out in the open, accessible to students.

The teacher, a 49-year-old from Reading, Michigan, had brought the THC candy into the classroom. During the investigation, police discovered additional food items suspected to contain THC on her person.
