URGENT UPDATE: The Saugus Senior Center has just announced an exciting partnership with KevTech Services to enhance technology skills among local seniors. Beginning in April 2026, the program will offer hands-on assistance to help seniors master their personal laptops and devices.
This initiative, led by founder Kevin Figueroa, marks a significant step towards bridging the technology gap for the elderly community. Figueroa has been dedicated to making technology accessible for seniors for over five years, providing essential training in various centers and even in their homes.
The collaboration originated when Figueroa reached out to the Marblehead Senior Center to establish a basic iPhone class, highlighting his commitment to empower seniors with essential tech skills. His efforts have now expanded to multiple locations, demonstrating the need and interest in tech education among older adults.
In a move to ensure ongoing support, Figueroa has applied for a Cultural Council grant to offer these valuable classes for free at the Saugus Senior Center. This funding will allow even more seniors to participate, ensuring that no one is left behind as technology continues to evolve.
The demand for technology training is more urgent than ever, as many seniors feel overwhelmed by rapid advancements. With this program, Saugus seniors will gain confidence and independence in using technology, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.
Stay tuned for more details as the program approaches, and mark your calendars for April 2026 to join in on this transformative experience.
