ROC Royal Hosts 300 Kids at First Annual Peek-A-BOO Halloween Party

BREAKING: Over 300 inner-city children participated in the inaugural Peek-A-BOO Kids Halloween Party on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Rochester, NY. The event, hosted by ROC ROYAL INC and community partner Terrell Wyatt, provided a vibrant and safe space for local families to celebrate Halloween together.

The festivities took place at the Dr. David and Ruth Anderson Academy School No. 16, where children donned colorful costumes and enjoyed an array of activities, including games, music, and interactions with beloved cartoon characters. “We just wanted to put something together for the youth. Sixteen School opened their doors, and we’re just taking advantage of the opportunity presented to us,” said Wyatt.

Attendees were treated to candy bags, pizza, and beverages, while parents connected with local support services aimed at strengthening community ties. “With growing concerns around safety and economic uncertainty for families, we want to put a smile on every child’s face and let families know they are not alone,” stated Khadija Yawn, executive director of ROC ROYAL. “This event is about hope, community, and making memories our kids will never forget.”

Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and dedicated volunteers, the Halloween party not only provided joy but also crucial support to Rochester’s youth and their families. The event exemplifies the community’s commitment to uplifting its members during challenging times.

As families left with smiles and cherished memories, the spirit of togetherness resonated throughout the school, solidifying the Peek-A-BOO Kids Halloween Party as a new tradition in Rochester. The community looks forward to the next celebration, which promises to bring even more joy and support for families in need.
