UPDATE: A unique immersive experience has just launched in Los Angeles aimed at helping visitors reduce stress through the enchantment of bubbles. The Bubble Planet Experience, which opened on December 19, 2023, spans 25,000 square feet and offers six interactive rooms designed to transport attendees into a world of joy and creativity.
The Bubble Planet Experience invites guests to embrace their inner child, as they explore various themed rooms including a bubble ocean and a kaleidoscope space. According to John Zaller, the executive producer, “We wanted to come up with a new type of immersive experience” that merges digital technology with physical engagement, all centered around the playful notion of bubbles.
Visitors first enter the LED Room, where mirrors and responsive lighting create a simulated underwater atmosphere. “The room actually responds to your movements, so it sets the tone in an exhibit that not only can you interact with, but it also responds to you,” Zaller explained.
From there, guests will encounter a vibrant kaleidoscope room and the Bubble Ocean, filled with pink balloons for playful interaction. Other engaging features include the Selfie Room, where visitors can capture moments surrounded by rubber ducks, followed by the Bubble Bath room, offering the chance to splash in tiny plastic bubbles.
“This experience is all about relaxation and allowing people to escape the pressures of the real world,” Zaller emphasized. “I hope our guests leave inspired and uplifted.”
The Bubble Planet Experience is part of a growing trend, with international locations in Europe and Australia, and several others across the United States. The Los Angeles pop-up is expected to run for at least six months, providing ample opportunity for locals and tourists to delve into this whimsical universe.
