Lynn Community Health Center Named Top 100 Women-Led Business

UPDATE: Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) has just been recognized as one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts by The Women’s Edge in partnership with The Boston Globe. This honor comes in a landmark year for the program, marking its 25th anniversary, and highlights the significant impact of women-led leadership in the state’s economy.

Under the guidance of CEO Brenda Rodriguez, LCHC has emerged as a leader in community health, focusing on innovation and equity. This is LCHC’s first time receiving this prestigious recognition, ranking 38th among a distinguished roster of organizations that are reshaping Massachusetts’ leadership landscape.

Rodriguez brings over a decade of experience in community health, having previously held the role of Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at Lowell Community Health Center. Her expertise in developing growth strategies and implementing equitable care practices has been pivotal to LCHC’s success. Rodriguez’s connection to community health is deeply personal; she is a patient at a federally qualified health center, providing her with unique insights into the obstacles that patients encounter.

LCHC serves more than 46,000 patients annually, offering a comprehensive range of services, from primary and behavioral health to dental and substance use programs. The center prides itself on making healthcare accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. With a workforce that is predominantly female and highly diverse, LCHC exemplifies inclusive leadership.

In an emotional response to the recognition, Rodriguez stated,

“Receiving this recognition alongside so many trailblazing women is truly meaningful. This belongs to every woman who leads, innovates, and uplifts our mission across the community health center movement.”

Board Chair Drew Russo praised Rodriguez’s leadership, stating,

“Brenda embodies the spirit and ambition of LCHC’s mission and values. Her lived experience, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to community-centered care give us great confidence in the path ahead.”

As LCHC continues to expand access to critical services and strengthen community partnerships, this recognition serves as a testament to the extraordinary dedication of its entire team.
