Last Two Suspects Arrested in Urgent Creedmoor Drug Bust

BREAKING: The final two suspects in a major drug crackdown in Creedmoor, North Carolina, have been arrested, according to a statement from the Granville County Sheriff’s Office. This significant development comes just days after the initial wave of arrests, which included ten suspects and over 100 felony charges related to drug trafficking.
The operation, conducted by the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) and the Creedmoor Police Department, targeted a drug manufacturing and distribution network operating around the City Tavern located at 404 N Main St. in Creedmoor. Authorities confirmed that drugs were being trafficked near schools and public spaces, posing a serious threat to community safety.
On Friday night, Travis Keyshawn Johnson, 23, of Timberlake, was apprehended during a traffic stop in Butner. Johnson, wanted on six felony charges, was found in possession of a firearm, 9 grams of cocaine, and 58 grams of marijuana. He now faces multiple new charges, including felony possession with intent to sell and deliver controlled substances.
Following his arrest, Sheriff Robert Fountain reported, “This operation was crucial in disrupting a dangerous drug network that endangered our community.”
In a coordinated effort, authorities also captured Marcus Shadell Lockett, 52, of Creedmoor, who was wanted on a felony conspiracy charge. Lockett was taken into custody without incident by investigators from the Granville County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrests mark a significant victory in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the area. The investigation began earlier this week and has been a top priority for local law enforcement as they work to ensure the safety of residents.
Authorities continue to urge the public to report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking. As the situation develops, community members are encouraged to stay informed about local safety measures.
Expect further updates as the investigation unfolds and law enforcement continues to address drug-related crime in Creedmoor. This urgent crackdown emphasizes the commitment of local agencies to combat illegal activities and protect their communities.
Stay tuned for more breaking news as the Granville County Sheriff’s Office and ALE provide additional details.
