Four Shot in Early Morning Gunfire Near Wrigley Field

URgent Update: Four individuals were shot early Sunday morning on Clark Street in Lakeview, just a stone’s throw from Wrigley Field. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. as the victims lingered in the 3400 block of North Clark Street. Eyewitness reports indicate that a suspect emerged from a white pickup truck and opened fire on the group.

Among the victims, a 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old man both sustained arm injuries, while a 29-year-old woman was shot in the leg. All three were transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital and are currently reported in fair condition. A 25-year-old man was also shot in the shoulder and is receiving treatment at Thorek Memorial Hospital, where he is also in fair condition.

The shooting unfolded near the popular eatery Al’s Beef at 3420 N. Clark St.. Authorities report that the shooter fled the scene heading northbound, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
