FanDuel Predicts Launches in 5 States, Expanding Nationally Now

UPDATE: FanDuel Predicts has officially launched in five states, marking a significant step in its national rollout of the prediction market app. The app is now available in Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota, and South Dakota, with plans to expand to additional states by early 2026.

This launch comes at a time of heightened interest in prediction markets among sportsbooks, especially following DraftKings launching its markets app across 38 states. FanDuel’s new platform will provide users with the opportunity to engage in event contracts covering a range of topics including the S&P 500, oil and gas prices, gold, cryptocurrencies, and economic indicators such as GDP and CPI.

“Our customers will now have a new platform to engage with critical global events, from the next Federal Reserve rate decision to sports contests,” said James Cooper, Senior Vice President at FanDuel. This initiative aims to gather valuable insights into customer engagement, allowing FanDuel to refine its offerings as it prepares for further expansion.

The app is accessible via the Apple App Store and Google Play, enabling millions of users across the U.S. to join in. Sports betting contracts will also be offered for events in baseball, basketball, football, and hockey, particularly in states where online betting is not yet legalized, barring tribal lands.

As more states move towards legalizing online sports betting, FanDuel has indicated it will reevaluate the availability of sports contracts in those regions. “This launch is a pivotal step for expanding the reach of our products to FanDuel’s millions of registered users across the U.S.,” stated Lynne Fitzpatrick, President and CFO of CME Group.

The phased rollout will continue throughout the coming months, with more states expected to be added to the platform as FanDuel and CME Group aim to capture the evolving landscape of prediction markets and sports betting.

Stay tuned as FanDuel Predicts reshapes the betting experience across America, providing a new way for users to engage with the world around them. This is a developing story, and updates will follow as more information becomes available.
