Alan Joseph Rattee Sr., a beloved figure in Loudon and Northfield, New Hampshire, passed away on January 28, 2026. His death marks the end of a life dedicated to family, service, and community engagement.
Born in Vermont, Alan was the son of Raymie Rattee and Jean Adams Rattee-Silver (later married to William Silver). He was a devoted father to his four children: Sarah Aschbrenner (deceased), Christopher Brown, Raimee Rattee, and Alan Rattee Jr.. In addition to being a father, Alan was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren and a caring brother to his siblings, including Carol Rattee-Roy, Steve Rattee (deceased), Donna Rattee, and Kelly Mastine.
Alan’s dedication extended beyond his family. He attended Merrimack Valley High School and later served in the United States Marine Corps, embodying the values of commitment and service. Following his military career, he worked in the family business as a fire sprinkler system installer, contributing to the safety of many homes and businesses in the region.
His passion for community involvement was evident through his engagement in local athletics. Alan was known for his support of organizations such as Blue Storm Sports and Tilton School, where he invested time and energy into youth sports. His commitment to fostering a love for athletics among young people left a lasting impact on many.
As a devoted Christian, Alan found solace in his faith, and many remember him as a person of kindness and compassion. His legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Alan’s life is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, from 18:00 to 20:00 at Alan’s Restaurant in Boscawen. Friends and family are encouraged to attend to honor his memory and share stories of his life.
