St. Mary’s 8th Grade Girls Volleyball Team Wins Championship

The St. Mary of the Angels Catholic School 8th Grade Girls Volleyball Team secured the Catholic School League Championship on October 21, 2023, with an impressive two-set victory. Remaining undefeated throughout the season, the team showcased remarkable chemistry and determination during the match, highlighting their strong commitment to teamwork and mutual support.

Coach Kenzie White expressed pride in her players, stating, “Their teamwork, the way they have each other’s backs the entire game, is unbelievable. They are truly a coach’s dream!” This championship victory marks a significant achievement for the team, reflecting not only their skill but also their dedication to sportsmanship and the values instilled at St. Mary’s.

The success of the 8th Grade team is part of a broader trend within the St. Mary’s volleyball program. The 6th/7th Grade Team Playoffs are set to take place on October 22, 2023, at Bechtol Grove Middle School, while the next playoff games for the 8th Grade Team will occur on October 29, 2023, at Pomolita Middle School. The playoff game is scheduled to begin at 17:00, and if they emerge victorious, the Championship Game will follow at 18:00.
