He expressed optimism about the current state of his recruitment, stating, “It’s going really good. There are lots of recruitments picking up right now, and it is just a blessing.”

Several schools have emerged as frontrunners in his recruitment process. Gaines identified Tennessee, Texas Tech, Houston, SMU, and Baylor as the institutions that currently stand out to him. “Those are the schools that I am looking at right now,” he noted, highlighting the importance of these programs in his decision-making.

In addition to schools that have already captured his interest, Gaines is also considering visiting other institutions. Notably, the Florida Gators are on his radar, and he has plans to visit their campus. “I have some planned out at this moment. Tennessee, Houston, Texas Tech, Florida, and those are the ones I have scheduled,” Gaines said, indicating a diverse selection of schools that he intends to explore further.

When asked about what he hopes to discover during these visits, Gaines emphasized the significance of the overall culture at the schools and their coaching staff’s approach to quarterback development. “What I am looking to see is the culture at these schools, also how they coach at the schools, especially how they coach the quarterbacks,” he said.

As his recruitment progresses, Gaines plans to narrow down his choices but does not yet have a specific timeline for making cuts. “I don’t have a timetable for cutting schools right now. Hopefully, I will soon, though,” he concluded, leaving fans and analysts eager for his next steps.

As one of the promising young talents in football, Tristin Gaines’s decisions in the coming months will likely have significant implications for his future and the programs vying for his commitment.
