NXT Halloween Havoc 2025: DarkState Triumphs, Saints Retains Title

WWE hosted its sixth annual Halloween Havoc premium live event on October 25, 2025, at the Findlay Toyota Center in Arizona. The event was marked by a festive atmosphere, featuring Halloween-themed decorations such as skeletons and spiderwebs, much to the delight of the audience. The night showcased thrilling matches, with significant title changes and memorable performances.

One of the highlight matches featured The Broken Hardys, consisting of Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero (Jeff Hardy), defending their NXT tag team titles against Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin of the DarkState. In a nod to the late Bray Wyatt, Jeff Hardy donned The Fiend’s face paint, adding an emotional layer to the contest. The match, held under Broken Rules, included several high-risk maneuvers, showcasing the Hardys’ signature style.

The intensity escalated when Jeff executed a Swanton Bomb off a steel post while Matt delivered a leg drop from a ladder. Lennox made a daring leap into the timekeeper’s area, while Griffin speared Matt through the barricade. In a dramatic finish, Brother Nero attempted a Swanton Bomb from the ladder but narrowly missed Lennox, who had evaded at the last moment. Ultimately, DarkState triumphed, regaining the NXT tag team titles after a Doomsday Device through a table, ending the Hardys’ 17-day reign with the championships.

Ricky Saints defended his NXT Championship against Trick Williams in the main event. Saints, who had claimed the title from Oba Femi at last month’s No Mercy event, faced a fierce challenge. The match was tightly contested, with both competitors exchanging high-impact moves. Saints rallied late in the contest, delivering a spear and a Tornado DDT to secure his victory and successfully defend his title.

The event also featured other notable matches, including TNA’s Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans defeating the AAA duo of Mr. Iguana and La Parka in the opening bout. In a Day of the Dead match for the NXT North American title, Ethan Page faced off against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.. Page managed to retain his title after a controversial finish that saw him throw powder into Wagner Jr.’s eyes, followed by a devastating move that left his opponent incapacitated.

In women’s division action, Blake Monroe emerged victorious over Zaria, becoming the new NXT Women’s North American Champion, while Tatum Paxley defeated Jacy Jayne to capture the NXT Women’s title. Paxley’s achievement drew attention on social media, with her former teammate Lyra Valkyria expressing support online.

As WWE continues to evolve its programming, Halloween Havoc 2025 proved to be a night filled with surprises, intense competition, and the celebration of wrestling’s unique culture. The event not only highlighted the talents of both seasoned veterans and emerging stars but also set the stage for future rivalries and storylines in NXT.
