Northern Section Football Teams Recognized in All-League Selections

The conclusion of the 2025 football season has been marked by the announcement of the All-League selections, celebrating outstanding athletes across various high schools in Northern California. The CIF state championships held last weekend at multiple venues in Southern California highlighted the achievements of local teams, with several schools achieving notable success.

Chico High School emerged victorious in the Northern Section Division II championship, defeating Red Bluff after a challenging 1-9 season in 2024. Gridley claimed the NSCIF Division III title against Orland, completing an undefeated regular season. Winters overcame Hamilton to secure the NSCIF Division IV championship, while Redding Christian capped its perfect season with a 15-0 record, claiming the NSCIF Division V title. In the CIF state bracket, Chico faced a tough match against Bishop O’Dowd, ultimately losing 23-20, while Gridley lost 28-20 in the Division 6-AA semifinals.
