However, junior quarterback Matt Fizia demonstrated exceptional composure, completing 6-of-13 passes for 76 yards, including two touchdowns despite throwing two interceptions. His leadership was pivotal in guiding the Panthers through a formidable rival encounter.

Corday White also made significant contributions, showcasing his versatility by scoring a 35-yard touchdown reception and leading the defense with 11 tackles. Meanwhile, junior running back Masai Ali celebrated a milestone by surpassing 1,000 rushing yards this season. Ali’s performance included 23 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns, further establishing him as a key player in Center Line’s offensive strategy.

Clawson Dominates Eastpointe in Crossover Match

In another exciting matchup, the Clawson Trojans achieved a commanding 51-0 victory over the Eastpointe Shamrocks, demonstrating their strength in the Macomb Area Conference crossover game. The Trojans’ offensive attack was spearheaded by Hunter Garrison, who recorded two rushing touchdowns, and Elliott Groves, who contributed another rushing touchdown along with two passing touchdowns to teammates Jordan Davenport and Graysen Carroll.

On the defensive side, Clawson’s players excelled, with Davenport, Garrison, and Huff each securing interceptions. Davenport, Carroll, and Shane Dunlap recovered fumbles, with Carroll and Dunlap scoring touchdowns following their recoveries. Steve Figueroa led all tacklers with seven tackles, including three for loss, and added two forced fumbles, showcasing a dominant defensive performance.

With this win, Clawson improved to a record of 5-3, while Eastpointe’s season continued to struggle, slipping to a disappointing 1-7.
