Michael Anthony Ortega, a beloved figure in the Harbor Area, passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2026, surrounded by his daughters. Born on March 2, 1956, to Trinidad “Trino” Ortega and Dolores “Lola” Ortega, he spent his entire life in the community that he cherished.
Ortega is survived by his three children: daughters Charmaine Morales (married to Armando) and Helani Ortega Godinez (married to Danny), along with his son, Michael Ortega. He leaves behind a large and loving family that includes 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. His grandchildren are: Valerie (married to Jason), Veronica (married to Michael), Victoria (married to Vance), AJ, Leah, Dominique, Natalie (married to Milton), Maili, Solomon (married to Latavia), Melanie (married to Christopher), Mikey Jr., Lauren, Noah, DJ, and Leinani. The great-grandchildren include Joseph, Justin, Preston, Ruby, Santino, Samuel, Helani-Eileen, Jason, Charity-Reign, Jack, Jireh, Alina, and Shila.
