The online agronomy series “Crop Talk,” hosted by the North Central and Northwest Extension Districts of K-State Research and Extension, is set to start on February 10, 2024. This series will run weekly on Tuesdays until March 10, 2024, from noon to 1 p.m. Each session is designed to provide valuable insights for crop producers, covering a range of relevant topics.
The webinars will feature presentations from experienced faculty members of K-State Extension, aimed at enhancing management strategies for local farmers. Topics will include critical areas such as understanding flex leases, assessing available soil water at planting, and the current conditions of wheat, alongside breeding efforts addressing mosaic viruses. Additionally, discussions will cover fungicide applications in corn and sorghum, as well as identifying insects to monitor in the fields.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with extension specialists during the sessions, fostering a collaborative environment for addressing production challenges. Registration for the series is straightforward; individuals can register once to access all five webinars. After registration, a link to join the sessions via Zoom and YouTube will be emailed to participants on the day of each session.
