The DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office released its arrest report for the week of February 13-19, 2026, detailing a range of incidents involving various individuals. Over this period, the average daily jail population was reported at 96, with 15 inmates housed for other agencies.

Notable Arrests and Charges

On February 13, among the arrests was Anthony Valenzuela, a 52-year-old resident of Cuero, apprehended for possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana. Another notable case involved Justine Dyan Williams, aged 29, also from Runge, who was charged with failing to identify as a fugitive and providing false information. Williams was released after posting a bond of $1,000.

Other arrests on the same day included Jeffrey Michael McCord, aged 59, for theft of property, and Qwentel Javar Denson, aged 40, facing multiple charges related to the harboring of unvaccinated animals.
