DBL Law has announced the election of Patrick Hughes as its new Managing Partner, effective February 1, 2026. Hughes succeeds Bob Hoffer, who has held the position for the past seven years. This planned leadership transition aims to ensure the firm’s continuity and long-term success.
Hughes has been an integral part of DBL Law for three decades, contributing significantly to the firm’s culture, leadership style, and client service approach. His election reflects the confidence of the Partnership in his ability to build upon the firm’s strong foundation while steering it into the next chapter of its development.
Hoffer underscored the importance of this transition, stating, “This transition reflects a long-term view of leadership and stewardship. Patrick has been deeply involved in the firm’s growth, culture, and client relationships for decades. His leadership ensures DBL Law is well positioned to continue serving its clients and supporting its people for years to come.”
In his acceptance, Hughes expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the Partnership. “DBL Law’s strength lies in its people and its commitment to clients,” he noted. “My focus is on continuity—building on the firm’s strong foundation and supporting the continued success of those we serve.”
Following the transition, Hoffer will remain with DBL Law, continuing his active practice in representing businesses on employment matters and assisting clients with estate planning. This move ensures that both the leadership and the operational aspects of the firm remain strong as it moves forward.
This leadership change marks a significant moment in DBL Law’s history, further solidifying its commitment to serving its clients effectively while embracing new opportunities for growth and development.
