Vernon Joseph Schremmer, a long-time resident of Kennett, Missouri, passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on July 2, 1956, in Hoisington, Kansas, he was the son of Wilfred and Cecilia (Ille) Schremmer. His career included significant service at Nucor Steel, from which he retired.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Patricia Thompson Schremmer, who resides in Holland, Missouri. The couple raised two daughters, Latisha Williams and her husband Jeremy, and Stephanie Schremmer, both of whom live in Kennett.

In addition to his immediate family, Vernon leaves behind three sisters: Lou Ann Gray and her husband Ernie of Wichita, Kansas; Marita Elliot and her husband Charles from Ellinwood; and Sandy Maneth and her husband John of Great Bend, Kansas. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to Lexi and Abby Williams.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and a newborn sister, Helen Jean Schremmer. His passing has left a profound impact on his family and the wider community, which remembers him for his warmth and dedication.
