Gail K. Wold, aged 87, of West St. Paul, passed away on December 15, 2023, leaving behind a legacy rich in faith, family, music, and community service. Wold’s life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to her loved ones and her passion for music, which she shared with many in her community.
She is survived by her children, Janelle (Todd) Rau and Kevin (Jodi) Wold; her grandchildren, Aaron (Kim), Emily (fiancé Jake), Griffin, and Shiloh; as well as her great-grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel. Wold’s family also includes her brother-in-law, Paul (Linda) Wold, and several nieces and a nephew.
Wold was predeceased by her husband, Howie Wold, and her parents, Gil and Ellen. A proud graduate of Park High School, class of 1956, she dedicated over seventy years to music ministry and spent more than fifty years directing the children’s church choir. Additionally, she volunteered at the Minnesota Zoo for over forty-five years, demonstrating her love for animals and education.
The community will have the opportunity to pay their respects during visitation on December 19, 2023, from 16:00 to 19:00, followed by a funeral service on December 20, 2023, at 11:00 with an additional visitation starting at 10:00. Both events will take place at King of Kings Lutheran Church, located at 1583 Radio Drive in Woodbury. A luncheon will follow the service, allowing family and friends to gather and celebrate Wold’s life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred, reflecting her lifelong commitment to her church and community. Gail K. Wold will be remembered not only for her musical talents but also for her generous spirit and the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her.
