Mohawk Valley Health System Welcomes New Breast Surgeon Dr. Rajotte-Caron

The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) has announced the addition of Dr. Julie Rajotte-Caron to its Breast Care Center as a breast surgeon. Dr. Rajotte-Caron brings a diverse and experienced background in medicine and humanitarian work to her new role.

Professional Background and Education

Before earning her medical degree, Dr. Rajotte-Caron worked as a surgical assistant at Kanata Plastic Surgery in Ottawa, Canada. Her commitment to healthcare extends beyond clinical practice; she served with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as a registered nurse. Notably, she was part of the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) deployed to the Philippines following the devastating typhoon in 2013. Additionally, she has provided humanitarian aid in El Salvador.

Dr. Rajotte-Caron earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in Quebec, Canada. She later obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint James School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Her General Surgery training was completed at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, North Carolina, further solidifying her expertise in surgical practices.
