Justin Baldoni Discloses Circumcision Discussion with Blake Lively

Details from a recent deposition have revealed a private conversation between actors Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively regarding Baldoni’s circumcision. This discussion occurred in December 2022 at Lively’s New York City apartment while she was pregnant with her son, Olin. The conversation emerged during legal proceedings related to Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, which is set to go to trial in March 2026.

During the deposition held in October, Lively’s attorney, Michael J. Gottlieb, questioned Baldoni about whether he discussed circumcision in relation to Lively’s baby. Baldoni confirmed he had mentioned being circumcised but clarified that Lively did not “directly” ask him about it. He described the setting as bustling, with others, including Ryan Reynolds and several nannies, present in the room.

Baldoni detailed the atmosphere, noting, “There were people going all around. Mr. [Ryan] Reynolds was in and out of the conversation. She had, I think, two nannies… There were people all around.” When asked if he had shared similar information with other colleagues, Baldoni stated, “I don’t talk about my genitalia, so no.”

This incident is part of a larger legal battle. In her amended complaint filed in January, Lively expanded on allegations that Baldoni made her and other women uncomfortable on set, particularly due to his comments about his own anatomy. Lively’s legal team is actively arguing that her case should proceed to trial despite Baldoni’s request for a summary judgment aimed at dismissing the lawsuit.

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has expressed his client’s desire for vindication, stating, “He knows who he is. He knows what he’s done; he knows what he hasn’t done. And he wants the truth to come out.” Freedman emphasized Baldoni’s eagerness to present his case in court, aiming to clarify the circumstances surrounding the allegations.

As the legal proceedings continue, both sides are preparing for a potentially contentious trial. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for both Baldoni and Lively, as well as for the broader conversation about workplace interactions in the entertainment industry.
