Boyertown Halloween Parade Draws Large Crowds for 72nd Year

The 72nd annual Boyertown Halloween Parade took place on October 18, 2025, hosted by the Boyertown Area Historical Society. This cherished event, which has been celebrated since 1912, attracted a large crowd eager to enjoy a festive display of floats and costumes from local businesses and community organizations.

This year’s parade featured an impressive lineup that included entries from various groups, showcasing their creativity and community spirit. Adriane Zapien, the parade chairperson, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “This was a great year. We even added the Get’z Steam Calliope to end the parade.”

Prizes were awarded to the top entries in several categories, with local businesses and groups competing for recognition.

2025 Parade Winners Highlight Community Spirit

In the Best Float category, the competition was fierce. The awards were presented as follows:
1st place: H&K Group – Titanic
2nd place: Eddinger Propane – Pumpkin Spice
3rd place: First Response Contracting – Nightmare Before Christmas

The Best Group Performance award was claimed by Studios on Main for their creative entry based on the film *Avatar*. The top three performances were:
1st place: Studios on Main – Avatar
2nd place: Impact Twirlers
3rd place: Boyertown Optimist Cheer

In terms of costume creativity, Laurie Bossler won first place for her portrayal of the Boyertown Granny Club. Other notable mentions include:
2nd place: The Miller Family – The Last of Us
3rd place: Dominic Danielle – Spooky Kids

The Best Marching Unit award went to:
1st place: Boyertown Area Senior High Marching Unit
2nd place: Boyertown Legionettes
3rd place: Boyertown Middle School East and West

Additionally, Sacks and Sons took home the award for Best Represented Business or Organization with their float titled The Great Pumpkin.
