Syracuse University’s Sports Auction to Aid Upstate Children’s Hospital

The 21st Annual Charity Sports Auction, organized by the Sport Management Club at Syracuse University, is set to take place from November 18 to November 23, 2025. This year’s auction will support the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, providing essential funding for pediatric care in Central New York.

Bidding will commence on November 18, coinciding with a home game for the Syracuse men’s basketball team against Monmouth University at the JMA Wireless Dome. The auction will utilize a hybrid format, allowing participants to bid both in-person and online through GiveSmart until November 23.

The Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, established in 2009, plays a pivotal role in the community, caring for over 100,000 children annually across 22 counties. The proceeds from this year’s auction will specifically benefit the Upstate Pediatric and Adolescent Center at the Nappi Wellness Institute.

Dr. Steven Blatt, medical director at the Upstate Pediatric and Adolescent Center, expressed gratitude for the support from the Sport Management Club and Syracuse University fans. He stated, “Our team of staff, nurses, faculty and resident physicians is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of every patient and family. We are especially proud of our programs that help reduce the negative effects of childhood poverty, a critical part of our mission. Your partnership will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we care for.”

For over two decades, the Sport Management Club has successfully raised more than $770,000 for various Central New York non-profit organizations through this auction. This year’s lineup includes highly sought-after items such as a signed baseball bat from Juan Soto, a mini helmet signed by Kyle McCord, and a jersey signed by Lawrence Taylor, among other exclusive memorabilia.

To enhance the impact of the auction, Apex Entertainment has been announced as the title sponsor for this year’s event. Their support emphasizes a shared commitment to making a significant difference in the Central New York community.
